The Livingston Parish Public School System serves over 26,000 students ranging from Pre-K through grade twelve. We continually strive to upgrade our schools to provide a climate that enhances learning. Our instructional programs and other related programs and services are focused to meet the needs of our student population and the requirements of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

LPPS Spring 2017 Schedule Changes

 Livingston Parish Public Schools will make the following changes to the Spring 2017 student schedule.

Replacement Days

Jan 5th 2017                                              Students Return

Feb 16th 2017                                            Full Student Day

March 16th 2017                                      Full Student Day

May 24th  2017                                          Last Student Day


Replacement Time

All Livingston Parish Public Schools will add 21 minutes of instructional time to their master schedules. This time will be added 10 minutes in the morning and 11 minutes in the afternoon. This replacement time schedule will begin on Jan 5th 2017 and continue through May 24th 2017.

Many of our schools are impacted and simply do not have a place to store the items, so beginning Monday October 17, our Cook Rd facility in Denham Springs will be the central location to gather donations and deliver to the impacted schools.

PUBLIC NOTICE The Livingston Parish Public Schools has elected to destroy special education records of students who have not received services for the past five (5) years.These records include those for the 2011-2012 school year and earlier years.These records will be destroyed thirty (30) calendar days after publication of this notice.  Parents, students of legal age, or legal guardians with proper identification who would like to obtain special education records before destruction may call (225-686-7600, ext. 145) or visit the Pupil Appraisal Office at 29849 South Magnolia St., Livingston, LA, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
